France vs Ireland, a match that was postponed just a few minutes before kick-off at the weekend in Paris, will now be played on March 4th 2012 and 3pm GMT.
The match, which was called off by referee Dave Pearson due to a frozen pitch, will see two of the Six Nations favourites go head-to-head in one of the make or break matches of the tournament.
The RBS 6 Nations Championship format dictates that a match postponed in weeks one or two of the competition will be rescheduled to take place in either week three or, as in this case, week five of the tournament.
Commenting on the rescheduled match details John Feehan, Chief Executive, Six Nations said:
“We are delighted that we have agreed a new date and time for the RBS 6 Nations France vs Ireland match in the RBS 6 Nations window. We are also delighted that the FFR have announced a ticket refund scheme.”
